Fireman Cooper Costume

My 4 year old son is obsessed with a show called Fireman Sam. When asked what he wanted to be for Halloween it was no question he wanted to be a fireman.

We used a cardboard box and covered it in duck tap to resemble a firetruck. All the windows, ladder, headlights and bumper are two layers of cardboard covered in the appropriate color duck tape. The wheels are made from styrofoam and covered in black duck tape. Dad got creative with the hose and found a metal hose and nozzle at the hardware store. Its secured with a twist tie so that he can take it off and pretend to spray a fire out. The light on top that his hands are on is made from a clear toothbrush holder that we put in a couple glow sticks at night. We used yellow duck tape to make the stripe at the bottom of his pants. To finish off the firetruck, I printed off a generic logo out of yellow cardstock along with his favorite number for the truck.
