This homemade costume for boys entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Brittany, the 'Lego Man' costume creator:
My son, Weston, is wearing the costume. I asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween and he told me either Pizza or a Lego...we were eating pizza at the time and he Lego's at the table. I told him he could be the Lego! haha.
It was pretty easy to make. For the box: We cut about two inches off the top of each solo cup. We used the circumference of the part of the cup left to draw circle's on the box to cut out. We also cut a large oval out for his head and two medium size ovals out for his arms. We painted the box red and let dry. We attached the cups with hot glue and gun and also glued the box back together. On the inside we used packaging tape for reinforcement.
For his hat: We used an old visor and hot glued Lego's to spell out 'WEST' and to randomly place around the hat.
We also found a Lego Man head template online for his pumpkin. It was a great addition for his photo's this year!
