This homemade costume for boys entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Nori, the 'Praying Mantis' costume creator:
My son Phineas (8 years old) loves bugs and insects more than anything! His favorite bug is the Praying Mantis.
The large headpiece is made from cardboard and cushion foam covered in green fabric. The green arms are made out of pool noodles. I made his jacket with wings, and pants from scratch.
Materials cost around $30.
