This homemade costume for boys entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Samantha, the 'Red-tailed Hawk' costume creator:
My son Archie has a strong love of birds especially the Red tailed hawk.
However would i find a costume for this? i tried to change his mind but he was adamant he wanted to be that so i set to work. I hand painted a mask for him and sculpted a beak out of leather staying up till 4am . Hand painted fathers and sewed them onto his back of his wings. We went to the zoo and he showed himself to the red tailed hawk there. Overall cost was about $30. Love and effort put in priceless!!!!!
