Starlord Costume

I am wearing the costume. I always make my costumes from recycled materials! My jacket was a thrift store find, and I took off the hood and spraypainted it to be the right color for Starlord (from Guardians of the Galaxy). The jet pack is made from an old backpack, cardboard tubes, two soda bottles, and two plastic cups (all spraypainted silver). The chest protector is made from duct tape and cardboard. My pants were from Old Navy clearance section, and I hot-glue-gunned the hem. My favorite part of the costume is the helmet and face piece. My dad modified my old hockey helmet, and the mask is attached by velcro. To finish the look, I have a "zune" (actually a MP3 sony walkman), and headphones.
