The Mad Hatter Costume

My 4 year son is wearing the mad hatter costume,I thought it would be such a cool costume to make.we both loved the new alice in wonderland movies.so I got started I made the hat out of poster board and card board ,I also found a chair cover for the fabric to cover it.i made the dress pins out of knitting needles and beads to decorate.i got a pattern for the jacket and sewed that together and also the vest.i found buttons and trim from other items I found at thift store and some I had.i used those to decorate the jacket.the pants I cut and hemmed to make shorter and I hand sewed the design on his leg.i also made his wagon a tea party table.i glued all the cups and pots on to the table so we pull the wagon around.i love how it came out.i really tried to get every detail of the original costume in his .
