Toy Army Man Costume

This is my 8 year old son. Our trunk or treat theme was toys and games - so e wanted his costume to go along. I bought old shirt and pants from a thrift store tat had a military style....and then added a lot of primer and green paint! The material will soak up a good deal. But the end result laves the clothing stiff - and plastic like. We bought toy accessories and also loaded thm up with paint. We wanted his face covered...but paint didn't look right. We ended up using a piece of green stocking.
