This homemade costume for boys entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Renee, the 'Transforming Optimus Prime' costume creator:
My 8 year old son wanted to be Optimus prime that transformed into a truck.. we used boxes from Costco to shape the 2 parts of the truck and used paper mache to make it sturdy after forming it.. then we drew and painted the truck with flames. A lot of trial and error to get it right and easy for him to lay down and stand up
