This homemade costume for boys entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Nori, the 'Venus Flytrap' costume creator:
My son Phineas (6 years old) is a huge nature lover! Carnivorous plants absolutely fascinate him, so he chose to be a Venus Flytrap for Halloween.
His entire costume was made by hand. The big head/mouth part is made of fabric with wire to keep its shape. The traps on his hands are fabric with cardboard inside for stability. His planter is made out of a thin doormat. The last touch was adding one of his big plastic flies to the headpiece.
