This homemade costume for couples entered our 2011 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Sarah, the 'Barbie and Ken' costume creator:
My boyfriend and I dressed up as Barbie and Ken from Toy Story 3 to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2011 at WDW. We LOVE all of the Toy Story movies and considering Woody, Jessie, & Buzz are the usual costumes, we wanted to do something different. Ken is wearing a wig for more of a cartoon look, the fabric was ordered online and made by hand, his shorts are puffy swimming trunks, the belt is yellow duct tape, and his shoes were white leather that were painted the light blue. Barbie is wearing a long blonde wig with bangs..(i have the same color, but it's shorter and i don't want bangs), a turquoise unitard i ordered online, leggings made from yarn, white leather shoes that were painted pink, and my belt is made of pink duct tape. We were a HIT! at the party, it was so much fun! Even Captain Jack pointed us out and gave us 2 thumbs up while on top of his float in the parade!
