This homemade costume for couples entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Julie, the 'Day of Dead Couple' costume creator:
.My husband and I planned for at least 6mths. On this idea. We bought a wedding dress had it altered and made my flower headband, I put together my hubby's hat and pieced together his outfit. Then found his beaded vest. Perfect.... I painted all the sugar skulls designs on our faces. After I put 2 layers of Mac makeup. And used the Dinair makeup for the designs and glued eyelashes and gems on. I painted my chest and neck areas once we were dressed and hand brushed bones on my chest. I curled and styled my hair in a Mexican roseritta hairdo.
