Foam Finger & Robin Thicke Couple's Costume

I would like to enter the Most Creative Costume with the homemade Foam Finger. Henrietta is wearing the foam finger and my pal Jesse is Robin Thicke. Idea came from the Miley Cyrus/Robin Thicke VMA performance, I did not want to be Miley Cyrus since I knew there would be plenty of her running around so I took the funny route and became the finger. The finger is what everyone was talking about so I had to be the finger. I found memory foam at Big Lots and it was the perfect color of finger so I did not have to paint it. I purchased two of the twin size foams at 18.00 each. I used an overhead projector to trace the front and back of finger onto the foam, I outlined the finger nails in paper to use as a pattern to be cut in red fabric. I purchased scrap red material at Joann's Fabrics for under 2.00. I cut the finger nails out and used 3M general purpose spray adhesive that we had in the garage. I sprayed on the nails with same glue and attached to the foam. I had to use a plastic piece of pvc pipe to help form the finger to stand on its own that we had lying around. Spraying the two foam fingers together was a little tough but I managed I did place a cardboard where I did not want to get glue on. I tried on foam and had to cut some of the bottom off so it would not be so long, I also trimmed off any extra foam.I used a permanent marker to outline the finger and give it more of a finger shape. I used colored craft foam I had and cut out the wording Twerk for the back and used the spray adhesive to glue them on. I found some striped 5 dollar pants to wear as Robin Thicke and did my Miley Cyrus hair and purchased a 1.00 red lipstick. All in all my costume was about 45.00.I had so much fun wearing the costume and people loved it too.
