Joy and Sadness from Inside Out Costume

My girlfriend and I dressed up as Joy and Sadness from Pixar's "Inside Out" this year. We decided it was a great couples costume because "you can't have one without the other." No joy if there is no sadness, no sadness if there is no joy. All you need to make Sadness happen is a pair of blue frame glasses, a white turtleneck sweater, blue jeans, blue shoes and blue, water soluble facepaint and hairspray. For Joy, we used two plastic green tablecloths we cut and pinned into a dress, the same bottle of blue hairspray and yellow body glitter. For the memory balls, we used a couple of balloons blown up about half way so they were still round. Total cost: $55.00. Bam, you're cartoons! It was a big hit on Instagram and Facebook too! . Lots of fun! :)
