Like Flies on Shit Costume

November 2016 I was browsing on the internet for Christmas gifts when I came across the Poop Mask and fell in love with it. I love Halloween and knew I had to have it but not sure how I would use it. I played with the idea of creating a (poop) costume. This past spring, I came up with the idea of turning my spouse into a fly and that is where the "Like Flies On Sh$t" came from. From May until 2 weeks before Halloween I worked on these two outfits. These costumes were created from my head and are hand-made and I sewed on everything. The only thing I bought was the fly mask, vest to sew the wings on to, and the artificial flies. I created a patterns out of newspaper and bought fabric. It took me several attempts to make the wings and also several attempts on the Poop outfit. I drew blood many times while hand sewing things together. I use satin fabric for the wings and sprayed on fabric glitter and hand painted the wings veins. I hand sewed the flies on and used swimming noodles to get the "tier affect" on the poop.
