Mad Hatter & White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland Costume

I am the Mad Hatter, my boyfriend is the White Rabbit. I made the costumes. The idea came after catching Tim Burtons' version of the movie on TV earlier this month. The hats are made from cardboard and covered in stretch crushed velvet. I put wire & polyfil inside his fuzzy bunny ears when I made them for poseability. His waistcoat/vest is brocade (with gold flecks - these didn't show up as well in photos). Clock was spray painted gold for the pocket watch and a yard of gold rope trim for the chain. My dress is made from 3 different colors of satin. My large bow tie is stuffed with polyfil to make it puffy & hold its shape.
