This homemade costume for couples entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Melanie, the 'Monster Prom' costume creator:
This is my husband and I going to Monster Prom at our favorite Atlanta venue. We won Best Makeup overall for the evening. This was a dream come true for me, as I have been doing Special FX makeup for almost 20 years now. I also met one of my idols... and fingers crossed, may get my foot in the door to start a career in this?! YAY!! I used several household items to create these looks... including toilet paper, cotton swabs, and believe it or not, my husbands teeth were made from FAKE NAILS! (The best part was he had to keep his mouth shut for a half an hour while his prosthetics dried.Haha.) I hope you enjoy my submission as much as I enjoyed creating it.
