This homemade costume for couples entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Amy, the 'Scarecrows' costume creator:
Tuk and I are back this time as scarecrows for a FARMARAMA party. Our matching hats were bought from a thrift store, we both had checked shirts and I had overalls from another costume. Tuk bought a pair of jeans for me to make her a pair of overalls out of, using the tutorial from this site https://www.odessabuggs.com/diy/diy-overalls/. I added a bit to the overalls to make them look more like a scarecrow's wardrobe (and coverup the fact I'd sewn a bit crooked). We safety pinned the straps on because we didn't have buttons. For our faces we put regular foundation on, orange tinged eyeshadow, very pink lipstick for the nose and cheeks and black eyeliner for the mouth and extended lashes under our eyes and lots of mascara.
Overall our two costumes cost about $10.
