Toxic Mermaid and Poseidon Costume

My husband and I went as a toxic mermaid and Poseidon :) these costumes are Pinterest inspired and I wanted to create a different take on a mermaid and Poseidon, going with silver tail over the usual green and making my husband all green! I used silver Mehron body paint, Wolfe Face Art & FX with fishnet pantyhose and chunky glitter to create mermaid scales. I handmade my top and crown and my husbands Poseidon crown with seashells, hot glue and other dollar store materials. The Poseidon trident also had fish net and seashells for a little added detail. My mermaid tail is from Amazon, which was a little difficult to walk in, but it looked amazing. The total cost for both of our costumes was around $100, including the paint for our makeup.
