Toy Soldiers Couple Costume

My husband I planned our costume since May this year.
We wanted to do something different and homemade. 🤔 One day we were talking about what toys were our favorites and my husband says one of his favs were these soldiers, then the idea came up.
Most difficult part was how to match color.
I looked for some ideas on Internet but it seemed complicated then my husband suggested to buy face paint first and then go to store and buy the paint, it was a special order. Took the face paint and they matched the color. We ordered glossy finish.
I bought everything on thrift store, pants, shirts, boots, accessories (except for binoculars and helmets).
We did two layers of paint for every item to create the plastic look.

Totally cost for both costumes is $50 approx.
It took us 20-25 hrs approx. to finish them.
