Alice in Wonderland Costume

This is our family as Alice in Wonderland. I, Jessie, the mom, am the Queen of Hearts, The dad, Justin is the rabbit, and our two sons, Brendan and Asher are the Mad Hatter and the Queen’s knight. The star though is our dog, Seamus, dressed as Alice.
I made my outfit out of thrift shop finds, including a dress, skirt, 2 shirts, gold material, red felt, ribbon and lace. The knight is made from red felt material sewn onto poster board to make it stiff, and lightly sprayed with black spray paint. I embellished the mad hatter outfit with a sash of spools of thread. Ribbons and lace were added to his outfit, and a feather and sewing tools added to his hat. A chin strap and ear holes were added to Seamus’s wig. My husband’s outfit was pieced together from St. Vincent and Goodwill runs. And lastly we applied our own makeup.
