Lego Movie Family Costume

We absolutely love the Lego Movie and quote it all the time. We dance to Everything is Awesome before bedtime for our family dance parties... When I asked my four year old daughter what she wanted to be for Halloween I expected her and I say Elsa but when she said bad cop I was stoked and we planned out whole family around her costume. I am Wildstyle Daddy is Emmitt, grandma is Vitruvius and our baby Penny is the piece of resistance. We pieced together a lot of the outfits from clothes we already had and used duct tape as embellishments... We found a hard hat abandoned on the side of the road one day on the middle of nowhere and made it red for daddies costume. Grandmas staff is made of pvc pipe, styrofome and cellophane. And of course we all had lego face painting. Everyone loved our costumes and we had a blast quoting the movie, singing and dancing in the streets as we trick or treated.
