Roaring 20's Style Costume

My son Hayden and I purchased our costume clothing from Goodwill and the Salvation Army stores for $14. We got our accessories at the Spirit Halloween store for less than $20. I had the wig and jewelry already so overall we spent less than one would pay for one costume. My was the little genius behind the idea. He is fascinated with history and had no idea who Al Capone was or what a Gangster and a Flapper were prior to reading a library book about the Roaring Twenties several weeks prior to Halloween. He fell in love with the era after reading and then begged to watch videos and read all he could on the internet! That did the trick and our Halloween costumes were created!
