This homemade costume for families entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Michelle, the 'Sesame Street' costume creator:
My husband (Miguel Beltran) is Bruno the trash man from Sesame Street, and my son (Ryder J Beltran) is Oscar the Grouch. Oscar the grouch costume is homemade. My Aunt sewed the green fabric to make the suit, Miguel glued the eyes with pom poms & for the eye brow we used a brown feather boa. With the remaining fabric Miguel covered the baby carrier. We used a pie tin foil for the trash lid & made the handle out of duct tape. We used 2 food aluminum foil trays for the trash can & duct tape. Miguel also lined the trash can with an old shirt, which served as the candy bag. We used zip ties to tie the trash can to the straps of the carrier. We sprayed 'scram' on a card board & zip tied it to the trash can. I (Michelle Beltran) was Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street.
