This homemade costume for families entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Amanda, the 'Space Exploration' costume creator:
My 2.5 year old son Miles has been obsessed with space and rockets for at least 6 months. So he inspired a family space theme this year!
Our 3 dogs, Herman, Olive and Max are rockets - I ordered these used on eBay - total cost $30
Our son Miles is and astronaut - I couldn't resist his costume when it went on sale at pottery barn. His laser gun is a spray painted squirt gun - total cost $60
And Mom and Dad (Amanda and Chris) are futuristic Aliens! - dads glasses are from Amazon, his jacket from the thrift store, pants old ones in the closet all spray painted silver. Moms tights are from Amazon, dress and sweatshirt were old ones in the closet spray painted. - total cost $40
My very talented husband Chris set up the photo shoot, we had a blast!
