This homemade costume for families entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Kelsey, the 'Star Wars Chewie, Han, Leia' costume creator:
I'm Kelsey I'm dressed as Princess Leia. My husband is Han Solo and my dog Maximus is Chewie. Every year we center our costumes around our cute pup. He's our inspiration. I actually had never watched any Star Wars movies growing up but my husband is a big fan and over the years he has forced me into watching them. I now actually love them and I am almost positive Max is an ancestor of Chewie. Occasionally he will let out this growl/bark and it is literally Chewie talking! CREEPY is right!!!!! Also, let's give it up for all the Instagram husbands out there. My husband is a keeper!
