This homemade costume for families entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Ashley, the 'The Smurf Family' costume creator:
My husband, myself and our 3 kids are wearing the costumes.
Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Grouchy Smurf, Brainy Smurf and Vexy Smurf.
My kids loves the Smurf movie and it was not too scary for my daughter.
I dyed white shirts the Smurf blue cor.
I purchased 2 yards of white fabric for 4.00. I made the Smurfette dress and 3 hard out of that white fabric.
I had a pair of red leggings and made Papa Smurfs hat and bought his beard.
I bought a purple tutu, I had gold lace from a party and hot glued on the tutu to make a belt. I also bought blue rhinestones and hot glued to gold belt.
Our 5 costumes cost about $30 total.
