The Tangled Family Costume

For Halloween 2016, we dressed up as characters from the Disney movie Tangled! Mom is Mother Gothel. We bought a same colored velour dress and hooded cape. The rope belt was of 3-99cent ribbons that we braided together and a buckle to hold it in place. Dad is Flynn Rider. We transformed an old button up tee into Flynn's shirt by cutting off the sleeves and added the gold studs from the fabric store. Of course, the main character of the movie and the star in our eyes is our daughter dressed as Rapunzel! What caught the most attention was her golden colored hair! This was knitted/crocheted/braided by hand from yarn. It also served as a warm beanie while trick-or-treating! Mom couldn't resist the tutu-like dress of Rapunzel! We enjoyed dressing up year and creating memories!
