Up! Family Style Costume

I am wearing the house with balloons, my husband Ryan is dressed as Carl, my daughter Olivia is dressed as Kevin the bird and my son Rhett is dressed as Russell. My daughter absolutely loves the movie UP so I did some research and utilized Pinterest to make each of our costumes. For the house I used cardboard, paint, and popsicle sticks for the deck and steps. For Kevin the bird I used a T-shirt and glued colorful felt feathers onto both it and a blue tutu. I made the head out of a blue foam visor and formed yellow foam for the beak then colored it, glued googly eyes on and used pipe cleaners for the hair. For Russell I used cloth for the bandana and sash and printed the badge images out onto transfer paper and ironed them onto felt furniture pads. I used felt to make the logo for his hat. For Carl I made his eyebrows and stuck them onto the glasses and made his Grape Soda pin with a bottle cap and safety pin.
