A word from Veronica, the 'Bride of Frankenstein' costume creator:
My daughter loves scary movies. I decided to dress her as a classic scary female character, Bride of Frankenstein! In order to make her wig it took some planning. I had to figure out a way to make it look big and have white lighting bolts on the sides. I went to the 99 cent store and I found black clown wigs. I bought 5 of them. I also bought 2 foam crowns from the 99cent store. I stalked each crown on top of each other and glued only the tips of the bottom crown onto the bottom of the top crown. I cut each wig in half and hot glued each piece to the outside of the crowns. I had an old white wig and I cut two big pieces from it. I dipped each strip of hair into a bowl of water with glue in it. Then I set the strip onto cardboard wrapped in foil and shaped it like a snake. I left it to dry overnight and in the morning they were hard and looked like bolts. I glued them onto the black wig. The dress was an old flower girl dress I had and I bought white tulle from Michaels. I made the dress look old by burning holes in it and applying black makeup with a big brush. I pinned wide strands of tulle into the dress. She was so happy with her costume.
