Creepy Doll Costume

This creepy doll is actually my 9 year daughter. She originally wanted to be Sally from nightmare before Christmas, and decided just a creepy would be fun. We found a three piece dress on Amazon that is actually very pretty. The ruffled skirt, button down shirt and a coat all pink and pretty. Then we went to the thrift store, we found black taffeta which we tore up and pinned it between the ruffles on the skirt, we also found an old straw hat and to our surprise we found an old porcelain doll that was creepy! It was cracked in the neck! The thrift store gave that to us so we glued her head back on and traced the crack with a sharpy, we added some more cracks too. She carried that doll around. We bought some plastic bugs and sewed them all over and also put some spider webs on her. We smeared some watercolor marker in Brown and black all-over to dirty her up. We drew joints and cracks on her stockings and white gloves. Then we practiced the make up a few times before we got it right.
All in all I think we spent about $85 and had a lot of fun doing it!
