This homemade costume for girls entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Jaime, the 'Cute Scarecrows' costume creator:
I made these costumes for my daughters. I embroidered Halloween designs and patches all around the overalls. Added the ruffles at the bottom, the "straw" (which is just craft Raffia) poking out of the feet and pockets. I added elbow patches to the waffle-knit tees and made some bracelets out of fabric trim for the wrists to look like straw without it being annoying to the girls. The final touch for both costumes was the hair pretties made from Halloween/Fall themed ribbon and more raffia.
