Darth Vader Princess Costume

This homemade costume for girls entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Danielle, the 'Darth Vader Princess' costume creator:
Our daughter wanted to be a Princess and Darth Vader, so we decide to put them both together.
Here is what we did
Mask > We took the mask from the Darth costume taped off the eyes and sanded it. We then painted it with a metallic purple spray paint. It took 3 cots. We found a black tiara and took some lilac and deep purple with sparkle tulle to make the princess veil.
Top > We got a lilac long sleeve shirt and took the chest plate from the Darth costume and sewed it on.
Cape > We just used the black one that came with the Darth costume.
Skirt > We got some tulle in a lilac colour and tulle in a deep purple with sparkles and black underlay for the skirt. With the black underlay and tulle for a total of 6 tulle layers which are all hand bustled to make it even puffier, and 2” black ribbon on the front 4 layers to created the princess skirt feel.
