A word from Tiffany, the 'Edward Scissorhands' costume creator:
Hello my name is Tiffany and this year my daughter Jazzy decided that she wanted to be Edward Scissorhands this year for Halloween. I found a black turtle neck shirt at the thrift shop for $1.49. I found the skirt at Walmart for $6. Walmart also had the leather studded straps both were around $4 per yard. Then I found the tights (3.99) and black spray for hair (2.49) at the Halloween store. Now the gloves consisted of black foam board ($3) and silver poster board as well and black duct tape which I purchased this all at Hobby Lobby as well as the belt buckles. I used hot glue to put buckles on the leather straps to make belts for chest. I used hot glue to put the leather straps over shoulders . I cut out black foam in the shape of scissors and covered blade part with silver poster board then duct taped each one to individual fingers on an old pair of gloves. I also hot glued one leather strap to pair of already owned boots. For makeup I used white powder eyeshadow for foundation then simple dark brown eyeshadow for lip and eyes. I teased the hair and used hairspray to hold then covered with black spray.
