A word from Nicole, the 'Elsa' costume creator:
This is my daughter Isabelle. She is one of the hundreds of girls that wanted to be Elsa for Halloween this year lol. I have never made anything before but I do like to decorate cakes and draw. When it came to sewing I have only ever bought material and sewed the edges. Yet this year I was not to crazy about the Elsa dresses for the little girls so I decided to take a chance and make hers. I acquired the dress and cape material from Walmart. Then all the other little designs from michaels. I actually used christmas tulle wreaths as her chest design with two colored criss-crossed ribbons underneath. I actually found blonde hair extensions at the dollar store that had headbands to hold them up. So I bought two, flipped some of her hair up then flipped the hair up and over the headbands so they could not be seen. The shoes I actually found at Walmart as well and fit perfectly. Her makeup is done just like Elsas. I did all of the sewing by hand because my sewing machine my grandmother gave me did not work. It took about a month to complete but I only worked on it a couple hours a day. Her excitement was absolutely worth it!
