La Muerte Book of Life Costume

Kamila is wearing La Muerte from book of life. the idea came from us loosing some of our loved ones recently and what better way to show our respect to our ancestors and our culture than thru this costume that represents the afterlife with Dia de los Muertos. Makeup was made by auntie Anahi, the dress was made by grandma out of velvet and the accessories where made by myself (mom) which include the candles make out of battery operated lights which i got from 99$ store and handmade silk flowers which are pretty easy to make thanks to youtube videos. i bought a cheap witch hat which i made bigger with carboard and added the lights onto. bought many of accessories at 99$, dollar tree, hobby lobby and michaels. the skulls were repainted with acrylic to match the actual character. also used play wig hair from Dollar tree to help make her black hair even longer
