This homemade costume for girls entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Melissa, the 'Lego Movie Wyldstyle' costume creator:

My daughter Caitlyn (11) wanted to be Wildstyle from the lego movie, so my husband and I decided to try and make it. The head is white poster board wrapped around floral foam rings and the painted yellow and the face is drawn on with sharpie. The hair is floral foam bowls shaped and painted and the pony tail is felt. The body is a card board box taped together and painted. All the pink and blue stripes are duct tape. It took the two of us about 30 hours to make.

This costume is AWESOME! I make my daughter's costumes every year and this is what she wanted to be! :) if you by chance have a tutorial I'd love it. ...or at least one for the hair as that's what I'm stumped on!

This is great! What is the floral foam bowl? What does it look like and how big was it? My daughter would like to be wild style and this is the best hair I've seen!!!
