This homemade costume for girls entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Daena, the 'Pink Ninja Turtle' costume creator:
My daughter LOVES the TMNT....& her fave colour is PINK....& she hearts tutus...put them all together....PINK TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE. I purchased a basic green ninja costume as my base & also bought the knee & elbow pads....the entire turtle shell, weapons belt, tutu, mask & other accouchements, I made using felt, rhinestones, tulle, glitter glue & ribbons purchased from my local craft store. I also blinged out the foam sword (purchased). It took me approx. 24 man hrs to create this costume.....I also don't use patterns.
