Queen of Hearts Costume

This is Livi wearing her Queen of Hearts costume. We both love Tim Burtons verstion of these characters, and were very inspired for Halloween!
GOWN: This was a plan black costume we had from a pervious year for a vampire costume. Since I'm not great a sewing, I decided to add fabric and build off the existing dress. I did all the bead detailing by hand and used some industrial glue and a glue gun to hold it all together! It worked perfectly. Her sleeves are actually stockings I cut and used for her arms and the white collar was cut from one of my husband's work shirts...oops.
CROWN: This was made from a small solo cup, spray painted gold, and glued some red leftover beads for jewels.

I was so excited for the hair and makeup!! This is all her REAL hair..no wig or extensions. I teased the heck out if it and tried forming heart shape. I finished off with some ref hair spray. With the makeup I was trying to really create the illusion of a big head, so those eyebrows had to disappear! I used the glue stick trick...it was my first time trying it and it work great. This was so fun to make. Hope you like it!! Thank you!!
