The Mad Hatter Costume

My daughter is wearing the costume, many ideas on Pinterest, but wanted to do something to go with her red hair vs. covering it up. The skirt was made by my niece, with strips of plum tulle and then once I got more elements of the outfit I added the true purple and black sparkly tulle. We purchased the striped tights from Amazon. The jacket came from eBay, any blazer will do. The neck piece was made by my talented sister in law. I purchased the hat at Hobby Lobby it was black and gold, I added the purple ribbon and feathers. We searched pictures of Mad Hatter for makeup ideas, focusing on making her face whiter than it already was, I mixed white cream Halloween makeup with lotion to keep it from being so "chalky". We put pink under her eyes, green close to her lashes on her lid and skipped eyeliner and went heavy on the mascara. I think making her eyebrows darker really pulled everything together. We used a lip stain for her lips.
