This homemade costume for groups entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Jan, the 'The Four Seasons' costume creator:
My husband and I usually attend a Halloween Costume party with another couple, and I was looking for something different that the four of us could do as a group and that I could make. There being four of us I just lucked upon the idea of the four seasons and visited my favorite resale thrift store to look for gowns for myself and my friend to be Spring to my Winter. Our husbands would be Fall and Summer (my husband loves Hawaiian shirts). I am fortunate that I sew and having grandchildren I have a lot of blinging makeup. A visit to the fabric store got us the tulle and silver lame needed and I already had the items needed to make the crown for winter and headpiece for Spring. The only items purchased were the straw hat for my husband and the plastic ax for my friend's husband.
