A word from Ashley, the 'Three Blind Mice' costume creator:
Three of us friends were talking about what to be for halloween that was creative and unique from what most people do. We are all college students so we know what the typical costumes are around town. Since there was three of us, the "Three Blind Mice" fit perfectly. We are against buying already made costumes so we decided to piece it together. The basics to the costumes are; black dress, mouse ears, bow tie, thigh-high fish nets, lacy open finger gloves, blacked out sunglasses, and the walking stick. The only piece completely made on our own were the bow ties. The cost was $8.99 in the store so we decided to go to Joan's Fabric and buy an elastic band and a bow, then we just sewed the bow to the band. The cost on our own was only $3.99, and much cuter than the ones in the store. We also came up with the creative idea to re-use the bow ties as cute headbands! The walking stick was bought from a Halloween store for only $4.99. One thing to make sure of is to add red tape to the end of the walking stick like the real "Three Blind Mice" did. The good thing about the sunglasses is that they are re-usuable, as well as the dress of course, and even the mouse ears and fish nets can be used again! Alltogether, the cost of this costume individually was $35.00
