This homemade costume for kids entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Teri, the 'Bubble Gum Machine' costume creator:
My daughter Imari is wearing this. We used a gray trash can and spray painted red. We wrapped clear tubing around the outside to allow the real bubble gum to get to bottom like a real machine. We attached a real toy gum matching handle and "gum catcher". We used a outdoor light globe with small holes to allow for ventilation. We also had to make the neck hole bigger to enable her head to fit in. We attached weather sealing at the bottom of the globe to cover roughness and give it some cushion. We then added a pool noodle to top of costume to allow the globe to sit on. We glued colorful ping pong balls inside of globe. We added a red dollar tree bowl to top of globe and then glued a white bowl on top of that and put silver glossy duct tape on top of that.
