This homemade costume for kids entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Nicki, the 'Digital Camera' costume creator:
My daughter, Terra, loves to take pictures and that was the inspiration for her 2013 Halloween costume. This costume is a fully functional digital camera. The camera is made out of cardboard that was taped and hot glued together to form its shape. The picture button (the silver dot) is a top from a spray paint can. The costume was sprayed painted and traced with baby blue tape for decoration. The technology behind this costume is a 29 inch T.V. with a HDMI port that displays the pictures she takes from the front of the costume with a real digital camera (which also serves as the flash component of the camera). The T.V. is powered by a battery charger that I carry. Cost: T.V. (already had); Digital Camera (already had); Boxes (free from grocery store); Spray paint, tape, hot glue, HDMI cord ($60); Battery ($100).
