R2-D2 Costume

My 7yr old daughter, Gabriella,wanted to be R2D2 for Halloween. Since there were not many options out there to buy, I decided to build it myself. I started out with just a trash can. I built the legs with 2x4s, styrofoam, and casters. For the dome, I used a yoga ball for a mold and used fiberglass resin. I bought translusant plexi glass and a a/c register for other effects. Bought a old camera at a garage sale, and used a blue tooth speaker for the sounds which I controlled with my phone. It took me about a month to build and about $150.
