This homemade costume for kids entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.

Look what this little pirate found washed up on the beach...
Our 3 year old son Thomas wanted to be a Ninja Turtle or a Pirate so he could have a sword! When we were taking the picture, he kept holding it in front of his face saying "Take a picture of my sword!" The mermaid costume was one of the only things small enough to fit our 6 week old daughter, Piper. We live near the beach, so the costumes worked perfectly with our local scenery. The pirate costume is from Costco, and cost around $25. The mermaid costume is from Amazon, and was only $12.
