Pixar Lamp Luxo Costume

This is a costume I made for our daughter. She loves Pixar movies and watches them over and over again. She gets excited win the Pixar lamp hops around the screen at the beginning of the movies.

The costume consists of a white coverall with a dowel and cardboard frame over it. I had white fabric already, so I just picked up a lamp shade at a thrift store, a plastic globe from the hardware store and a plastic platter from the dollar store.

The headpiece is a white bonnet that I made then sewed the lamp shade on to. The lamp shade is covered with the same fabric as the coverall is made from, likewise with the dowel and cardboard frame. I glued the plastic globe inside the lamp shade.

For nuts on the frame I attached furniture slides.

The base is a plastic platter with a hole cut in the middle. I turned it upside down and covered it with fabric.

There is an area from the nose to chin that is open for visibility.

After posting photos on the internet, I got so many comments that I decided to enter the costume in your contest. I hope everyone enjoys it.
