A word from Andrew, the 'Billy Butcherson' costume creator:
This costume is inspired by the character Billy Butcherson from Walt Disney Picture's Hocus Pocus. The jacket, shirt, and pants are all old recycled clothes that I had laying around. I used gauze pads for the ascot and handkerchief which I dyed with tea bags and let it sit overnight. I used a long cheap wig that I teased and then pulled the bangs over top to give it that fresh out of the grave look. I then tied it back into a ponytail and tied it with some gold ribbon. To finish off the wig I place moss all over. I costimized the jacket with two different types of ribbon to make it stand out more and also placed some old gold buttons onto them. This makes it look like an old colonial jacket. For the makeup I used light green, dark green, and black face paints. I also covered my eyebrows with several layers of liquid latex and tissue to make the forehead more prominent and to make the face look more sunken in. Billy's mouth is sewn shut so that he can't tell Winifred Sanderson's secrets even in death; so I took black yarn and glued it over my lips with spirit gum in a criss cross pattern and then cut the middle so that I could talk. I then lightly sprayed temporary black hair color on my face to make it look dirtier. I had a great time making this costume and hope that you all enjoy it as much as I have!
