This homemade costume for men entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from J, the 'Captain Planet' costume creator:
We were inspired by Don Cheedle's Funny or Die youtube video as Captain Planet (NSFW). It turns out - little kids are VERY scared of Captain Planet and ran away before taking the candy.
We used a teal morphsuit, then bought red knee high socks and red briefs. The belt is actually 2 ladies dress socks from the dollar store pinned together. Then some yellow fabric with puffy paint. The red shit is from the dollar store. the wig is a cheapo mullet wig spray painted green. Overall, extremely easy to make and didn't need a lot of body paint the way other home made Captain Planet costumes tend to be. Remember to recycle girls and boys !! The power is yours !!!
