Hellboy Costume

Originally got the idea just by watching hellboy. After youtubing and researching I came up with a plan. 60$ later I had the supplies, workout flooring (the rubber puzzle piece looking ones) one piece of vent tubing. Paint . Trench coat from goodwill, face paint and spirit gum. Hot glue and a blow dryer. First thing was to make the "right hand of doom" I used the vent tubing for the base for and than I used the hot glue to glue the foam to it once I cut it into the desired shape. Than using just an old cardboard box I made ginger like formed for each finger (shoving two fingers into one form cause hellboy only had 4 fingers) and than the hand was more or less done. The creative part was the face and I used a bald cap, wig and some liquid latex. I installed the bald cap than the horns (applied with spirit gum) than liquid latex to give it the authentic look rather than just placed on top of my head. Than I painted my face red. Once dried it was wig time. I cut it to how I wanted and than I used the excess for the chops (hellboy retro looking beard) which was also applied with spirit gum. All this accompanied by some black jeans, boots, and a black shirt and you got hellboy! It's was awesome and was a great time making it. Definitely caught some eyes and attention! Ohh and a nerf gun painted black with a regular gun belt you can get in any kids toy section
