This homemade costume for men entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Luis, the 'Iron Man MK 42' costume creator:
Everything was done by hand from scratch, using craft foam from hobby lobby, card board for the inside and allot of hot glue sticks. The helmet does go up and down using electronics I installed inside the helmet. Lights turn on and off using electroillumanesent lights. Took about 4 months to create and countless hours to make sure everything fit and I was able to move freely in. Overall cost ranges from 400 to 500 dollars, I love Ironman and as a kid always wanted to be able to have a suit and finally I made one.
